JIM Magilton has confirmed his desire to become a long-term manager by closing in on completing his UEFA A coaching licence.
The Ipswich Town boss took a break from the course yesterday to oversee the first day of training at Playford Road, but was back in the classroom today and will also be working on his course tomorrow.
Magilton passed his B licence last year, and the A licence will take him one step further up the coaching ladder. The next level is the UEFA Pro licence, which Premier League managers are now required to hold.
“There is a lot of studying involved but I am getting there and it's important to get qualifications as soon as possible,” said Magilton, who says that he has identified the three players - a keeper, defender and striker - who he wants to bring to the club.
