Several rumours linking Roy Keane with Stadium of Light players were circulating in the North East yesterday, and these appeared to be sparked by the Ipswich manager's comments on the greenun24.co.uk website that he planned to sign two players within 48 hours.
Other Sunderland players mentioned are the former Manchester United defensive duo Paul McShane and Phil Bardsley.
