ROY Keane’s search for a left-back might lead him to make an offer for Yeovil Town defender Nathan Smith, whose contract at Huish Park expires this summer.
But Ipswich Town’s boss is likely to have competition from Championship rivals Reading and Sheffield United, who are also believed to be tracking the 23-year-old defender.
Smith looks set to reject a new contract at Yeovil in preference for Championship football.
Town are certainly short of full-backs, following the release of Ben Thatcher during the season, and the departure of David Wright (contract not renewed) and Liam Rosenior (loan deal expired).
