FORMER Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane has been lined up to take over the Iceland international team.

National newspaper reports have claimed the former Manchester United midfielder is in the running to take his first step into international management.

Keane is rumoured to be watching Iceland’s 2012 qualifier against Cyprus in Reykjavik tomorrow following positive talks with the country’s football association.

The ex-Ipswich boss, who was sacked in January after 20 months in charge, had been linked with Melbourne Victory in Australia and taking over Blue Square Bet Premier side Cambridge United.
