IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane is set to complete an audacious move to bring in four new players from his old Sunderland team to bolster his floundering squad.
According to reports, Keane yesterday had a 7million job lot bid for Grant Leadbitter, Carlos Edwards, Daryl Murphy and Nyron Nosworthy accepted.
Leadbitter will anchor Keane's midfield after the arrival of Lorik Cana and Lee Cattermole restricted his chances at Sunderland. He was set for talks today to agree personal terms.
Powerful defender Nosworthy would bring much-needed steel and strength to Town's back line, while Murphy - who has long been linked with a move to Ipswich - would add firepower to the Blues attack.
Meanwhile Edwards, a skilful and elusive winger, could see a whole new dimension added to Town's attacking play.
- What do you think? Would the moves be good ones - or should Town be looking elsewhere for talent? Post a comment below.
