RICHARD Wright is set to be out of action for several months, following the results of scans on his damaged knee.

Town's first choice keeper suffered a partial tear of his cruciate ligament, following a collision of knees with Cardiff striker Michael Chopra during the first half of Sunday's 2-1 win in Wales.

After a series of scans, it was confirmed that 32-year-old Wright will be sidelined for four months, which would see him unlikely to return before April.

Manager Roy Keane will therefore be setting his sights on signing an emergency loan keeper before this Saturday's trip to Bristol City. Otherwise, Lee-Barrett will get the nod.
