GRANT Leadbitter pointed at the errors made by Ipswich Town after they lost 3-1 at Portman Road to struggling Nottingham Forest.
The defeat drops the Blues to just three points off the relegation zone - and club captain Leadbitter believes the players have to look at themselves after a terrible start to the New Year.
Ivar Ingimarsson and Damien Delaney were at fault for Forest’s opening two goals while Town spurned a number of good chances at the other end.
Leadbitter, who scored a second half penalty which threatened a comeback, said: “We can’t give goals away in the manner that we have done today. We’re doing it far too often and you just can’t do it at this level or you are going to get punished.
“When you give goals away early in the game you make things hard for yourself, but that is football and we need to look ahead to the next game.”
