PAUL Jewell has revealed that Championship rivals Leeds United pulled out of a loan deal for Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin at the “11th hour”.

The Hungarian international, who last played for Town in March, was set to seal a temporary switch to Elland Road.

But Jewell confirmed: “Tamas was lined up to go to Leeds and at the 11th hour they changed their mind.

“It’s disappointing for Tamas and disappointing for us, it would have given him games and put him in the shop window. There’s one or two of our squad who will be available to leave.”
