IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane revealed, during this lunchtime’s press conference, that no new loan player would be arriving at Portman Road this week.
However, the Irishman is still confident of getting his man, perhaps next week. The player is believed to be a midfielder from a Premier League club.
“We’ve had no luck yet with the loan player, but nothing’s gone wrong,” said Keane.
“We always knew it was going to be tough to get the deal done. I’m not really involved in the negotiations.
“The two clubs are talking, and I think it will still happen, but maybe next week now.
“The other club might have injury problems.
“But I’m dead relaxed about it. I’d rather wait another week to get the right player in,” added Keane.
