IPSWICH Town manager Jim Magilton admitted to being “absolutely delighted” with his side's 3-2 victory over Scunthorpe at Portman Road.
Magilton knows the longer Town's unbeaten home run goes on, the harder it is to defend. But he paid credit to his side today.
“We needed a little bit of quality and in the end Tommy Miller provided it,” Magilton said.
“Scunthorpe deserve credit. They didn't just come here and want to be another statistic. The more successful we are at Portman Road the harder it is going to get to keep that run going.
“At times we were a bit gung-ho, but it is a nice way to finish for us and all in all I'm absolutely delighted.”
And Magilton joked: “Tommy works hard on the training ground with free-kicks, although he's been pretty hopeless of late. But that one today was superb.
“I suppose it was a good substitution bringing on Tommy for Gavin (Williams). But I needed to take Gavin off. It wasn't his day and people forget he has been out for quite a while.”
