Ipswich Town U21 3 Barnet U21 2: JACK Marriott’s hat trick gave a young Town U21 side a victory over Barnet this morning at Playford Road.
Barnet took the lead on 34 minutes when Jon Fortune tapped in at the far post, but Marriott equalised five minutes later with a cool finish following a long ball from David October.
Trialist keeper and free agent Rhys Taylor was beaten for the second time when Iffy Allen side-footed home from the edge of the area.
Marriott levelled the scores again just after the hour mark before grabbing the winner in the final minute after Byron Lawrence’s shot was blocked.
