LEE Martin, the forgotten man of Portman Road, scored the winner for Ipswich Town Reserves in their 2-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers' second string last night.
Front-runner Martin has not started a league game for the senior side since the goalless home draw against Sheffield Wednesday on November 27. His outings have been restricted to a couple of substitute appearances.
But Martin netted the winner against the Chairboys, in a Combination fixture played at Maidenhead.
Defender Tom Eastman broke the deadlock, and although Wycombe equalised early in the second half, Martin capped a strong run with an excellent finish on 68 minutes.
Keeper Richard Wright played his second game for the Reserves on his comeback trail from a long-term knee injury.
