Ipswich v Blackpool: Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson welcomed a “scrappy” three points as Ipswich Town defeated Blackpool 1-0, at Portman Road, on Saturday afternoon.

Substitute Michael Chopra’s 49th-minute goal was the difference between the two teams as the Blues gained some revenge for their 6-0 hammering in the reverse fixture, earlier on in the season.

“It was very scrappy but you get games like that in the Championship and previously we have not been winning them,” said Henderson.

The result put Town four points clear of the drop-zone ahead of Tuesday night’s game with Watford, who won 4-0 at Birmingham on Saturday afternoon.

“They will be a tough team and have had a great win at Birmingham. We have just got to put in another performance like today and hopefully keep the clean sheet.”
