Midfielder Giles Coke starts for Ipswich Town this afternoon after joining the club on trial.

The central midfielder is a free agent following his release from Sheffield Wednesday and has been named in the Town side to face League One Peterborough.

Coke has spent plenty of time on loan away from Hillsborough in recent years at the likes of Swindon and Bury, while he also featured against the Blues last season while with Bolton and has been on trial with Blackburn this summer.

This afternoon’s game will also see Daryl Murphy in action for the first time this pre-season, while Jonathan Parr is set to return to the Town squad following injury and Darren Ambrose is also set to feature as he bids to win a contract at Portman Road.

Ipswich Town: Gerken, Chambers, Smith, Berra, Parr, Coke, Bishop, Maitland-Niles, Fraser, Murphy, McGoldrick
