FORMER Ipswich Town skipper Tony Mowbray looks set to be confirmed as the new Glasgow Celtic manager today.
Mowbray, who cut his teeth as a coach under George Burley at Portman Road, has been given permission to talk to the SPL giants by his club West Bromwich Albion.
A compensation fee of 2million has been agreed between the two clubs, paving the way for Mowbray to return to Parkhead, where he served as a player.
Joining Mowbray at Celtic will be former Ipswich Town defender Mark Venus, who has been his assistant since Mowbray's Hibernian days.
Current Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane was briefly linked with the Parkhead post, which became vacant when Gordon Strachan quit the club at the end of last season.
