Needham Market defender Keiran Morphew is set to train again with Ipswich Town.
Morphew, who had a trial cut short a few weeks ago after suffering a groin strain, is returning to Town on Thursday with a view to taking part in the under-21 team’s clash with Nottingham Forest on Monday.
Morphew impressed on his first trial at Portman Road, before his injury, and came back impressively in Needham’s win over Merstham last Saturday.
He came on as a substitute on Tuesday night as the Marketmen lost 1-0 to Staines.
He is expected to play for Needham on Saturday in the Ryman Premier League, when Mark Morsley’s men travel to Harrow Borough.
