No new faces but Bowyer’s back for Blackpool

PAUL Jewell has this morning revealed he is not expecting any new loan signings before Saturday’s trip to Blackpool.

With the emergency loan window opening today, fans had hoped to see one or two new additions before the weekend.

But while admitting talks were “ongoing” with certain players, Jewell’s comments suggest the travelling Town contingent will have to make do with the return of Lee Bowyer and Ivar Ingimarsson from injury.

The duo are back in full training and are set to be included in the squad.

In fact, Ingimarsson could be thrown straight back into the starting line-up with Ibrahima Sonko a doubt after suffering a tight hamstring in the victory over Leeds United.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas might have to settle for a place on the bench after making slow progress from his ankle injury.
