ARRAN Lee-Barrett will start his first game for Ipswich Town on Saturday, because the club are not allowed to bring in a new loan keeper.
Football League rules stipulate that Town cannot recruit another emergency new keeper, even on a week-to-week basis, because they still have two fit goalkeepers - Lee-Barrett and the untried Ian McLoughlin, on their books.
Loanee Asmir Begovic returned to his parent club Portsmouth last week, while Richard Wright damaged his knee at Cardiff on Sunday and will be out for four months.
Lee-Barrett will therefore enjoy his first Town start at Bristol City on Saturday, with youth teamer McLoughlin likely to be on the bench.
