IPSWICH Town skipper David Norris will not play at QPR tomorrow, and he is also unlikely to feature against visiting Portsmouth this weekend.

Norris twisted his ankle and knee during the 1-1 draw at Barnsley, last Saturday week, and so sat out both the 6-0 win at Doncaster and the 1-1 home draw against Hull.

The ex-Plymouth midfielder is making good progress, but is unlikely to return until the trip to Cardiff on Saturday week.

Manager Paul Jewell, speaking at this lunchtime’s press conference, revealed: “David’s knee is fine, but his ankle is still a bit sore.

“He will obviously be out tomorrow and it’s looking a bit tight for him this weekend as well.”

Norris is Town’s joint leading scorer with nine goals, alongside Jason Scotland.
