LOVELY Jubbly!
Portman Road/South London. It was all the same for many Town fans on New Year's Day
Yes, it proved to be a great start to 2008 for the boys at Portman Road . . . and as that famous Peckham resident Dellboy would say . . . . 'cushty'.
But while Dellboy, Rodders, Uncle Albert and co have again kept us entertained on our screens throughout the Festive period, Ipswich Town's own version of 'Only Fools and Horses' were doing just that on New Year's Day.
With the gaffer Jim Magilton looking to do some 'wheeling and dealing' in the transfer window, (Jim's not brassic now), Town's current stars were seeing off the Baggies in style.
Led by and starring goalscorers. DAVID & JASON (Wright & De Vos) with Liam TROTTER pulling the strings throughout, it was a right pukka performance . . . quite simply triffic.
