TOMMY Smith headed the winner in Ipswich Town's 1-0 reserve win over Peterborough United at Portman Road this afternoon.
Smith met an Ed Upson corner to separate the young sides in a game watched by Roy Keane and his coaching staff.
Pablo Counago completed an hour on his return from a groin injury and will be pushing for a place for the game at West Brom on Saturday.
Town boss Roy Keane sees the Spaniard's comeback as a bright spot in an otherwise dismal start for the Blues this season, despite Ipswich looking to sell Counago to Swansea less than a month ago.
