IPSWICH Town have now confirmed that Ipswich-born Dyer has joined the Blues on a month-long loan from West Ham.

He is fit and will go straight into the Town squad for the Championship game at Leeds United on Saturday assuming the paperwork is completed on time, which it should.

Dyer’s contract with West Ham ends in the summer and they would presumably be contributing to his wages.

The England international midfielder, 32, has always indicated that he would love to play for his home town club again before his career ends.

He has been plagued by injuries for the last few years and has struggled to get in the West Ham team when fit this season. He left Portman Road in 1999.
