Ipswich v Barnsley: Blues defender Luke Chambers cut a frustrated figure, following Ipswich Town’s 1-1 draw at home to struggling Barnsley, today.

Chambers had given the hosts a 56th-minute lead with a close range effort but teenage substitute Danny Rose broke Ipswich’s hearts with an 89th-minute equaliser - the striker stooping low to head home at the near post from a Tom Kennedy corner.

The visitors missed a number of good chances, especially in the first half, with Marlon Harewood hitting the post in one of three first half opportunities for the veteran striker.

After the game, Chambers who missed also a gilt-edged chance in the first half, said: “We didn’t play as well as we have done in recent weeks.”

“It’s a disappointing result, you have got to win your home games, but we will dust ourselves down and we have a week to prepare for the game at Bristol City on Saturday.”
