Ipswich Town’s under-21s team secured their first win of the season, at Brentford, on Tuesday afternoon - a strong Blues outfit defeating the 10-man Bees 4-1 at Jersey Road.
A team featuring Scott Loach, Frederic Veseli, Anthony Wordsworth, Alan Lee and former Brentford man Stephen Hunt went behind to an Alfie Mawson strike after 20 minutes.
Lee levelled with 15 minutes to go, George Pilbeam having been sent off for two yellow cards, before Wordsworth, Matt Clarke and Jordan Adekunle completed the scoring.
