THE hours are ticking away before today’s 5pm transfer deadline, with Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell having predicted possible activity both in and out of Portman Road.

Town’s out-of-favour striker Tamas Priskin could be on his way to Championship rivals Swansea City on a loan deal this afternoon, after being linked with the Welsh promotion-chasers yesterday.

A few weeks ago, Swans boss Brendan Rodgers had been interested in signing fellow Town striker Jason Scotland, but that deal fell through when the Trinidad & Tobago front-man regained his place in the Town starting line-up.

Priskin, who is currently away with the Hungarian national squad, was an unused substitute in Town’s 2-0 home win over Scunthorpe United last Saturday.
