Ipswich Town striker Tamas Priskin made a promising if fleeting appearance at Wembley tonight.

The 23-year-old, who hit timely form for Town against Middlesbrough on the opening day of the season, came on to face England with just nine minutes to go.

The Hungarian won his 27th international cap and linked up well with fellow countryman Zoltan Gera but was given little time to make any significant impression.

Hungary took the lead in the first half through a dubious goal which was judged to have crossed the line.

But England came out strong in the second and captain Steven Gerrard bagged a classy equaliser and winner.
