The son of former Ipswich Town goalkeeper Richard Wright, signed a professional contract at Portman Road after turning 17.
Fellow goalkeeper Harry Wright, has followed in the footsteps of his dad, who is currently on the books at Manchester City.
The former Arsenal and Everton stopper, who turns 38 today, played 355 times for the Blues after making his debut in a 2-0 home victory against Coventry City, in May 1995. He also won two full England caps.
Harry’s grandfather, Geoff Hammond, who is Richard Wright’s father-in-law, also played for Town, scoring twice in 69 appearances between 1970 and 1973.
