Republic of Ireland international defender Sean St Ledger played the full 90 minutes for Ipswich Town’s under-21s last night, as the Blues went out of the Under-21 Premier Cup to Southampton.
The experienced defender has been without a club since leaving Leicester City in the summer, and spent time on trial with Huddersfield in pre-season.
Balint Bajner, Alex Henshall and Cameron Stewart all started for Town, alongside the former Peterborough defender and Sam McQueen scored the crucial goal for the visitors.
Town: Crowe, Emmanuel, Wyatt, Guldbrandsen, St. Ledger, Clarke, Stewart (Galvin 68), Benyu, McQueen, Bajner, Henshall. Subs not used: Marsden, Robinson, McLoughlin, Ford.
