IPSWICH Town fans are set to receive next season's season ticket information at the weekend.

It would be a surprise if prices were to be increased bearing in mind Roy Keane's first disappointing campaign as Town manager.

There is likely to be incentive deals that will offer fans a continuation of the club's policy of offering any Premier League football at Championship rates within the next two or three seasons.

Envelopes are expected to drop through letterboxes on Saturday morning - or on Monday.

A good result against Bristol City at Portman Road on Saturday - and a further move away from the bottom three - would obviously be just what the doctor ordered as far as the hierarchy at the club is concerned.

Fans will save money on traditional 'Early Bird' deals and there will be an opportunity to pay by instalments.

Midfielder Carlos Edwards was the match winner at Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday as Ipswich ended a run of four consecutive away games with a total of seven points.

And just three defeats in the last 23 league games is testament to an improvement that has been made since the dreadful start to the season - Town's worst ever.

“I hope that was the first of many goals for me to help Ipswich back up the table,” said Edwards.

“I did not know where that next goal was coming from but the manager has stuck with me and he knows what I'm capable of.

“It has been a rollercoaster time for me with stops and starts, but I have remained patient and when I got my opportunity I took it.

“It's been frustrating, but I didn't show it in training as it is disrespectful to other players if you are sulking and moaning about it.”
