IPSWICH Town’s new number one David Stockdale has insisted the club is going all out to win the Npower Championship.

Just three days away before the Blues’ big kick-off, Town’s on-loan keeper has confidently claimed Paul Jewell’s men will be “up there” as the season unfolds.

The 25-year-old, who has signed on a season-long loan from Premier League Fulham, told talkSPORT: “You’ve got to aim to win the title. If you don’t aim big there’s no point in being in that league is there.

“Everybody starts off the season with high expectations but we’re just going to take it one step at a time and I’m gathering from the gaffer with what he says to me that he is going to win the thing.

“You can’t be scared off by what people are paying you’ve got to think about the quality of players in your own squad rather than thinking about everyone else. They’re not going to win it for you, you’ve got to win it for yourself.

“I’m confident that we’ll be up there in the next few stages of the season.”
