FORMER Ipswich Town star Mauricio Taricco is to make a surprise return to playing tonight.
The Argentinian will turn out for Brighton Reserves against Gillingham tonight, six years after his last appearance in English football.
Taricco, who is assistant manager to Gus Poyet at the Sussex club, was playing part-time in Sardinia when Poyet appointed his former Tottenham team-mate as his No. 2 last November.
The left back made more than 300 appearances in a ten-year career in English football with Town, Spurs and West Ham.
