ALAN Lee, Pablo Counago and Gary Roberts all netted as the Blues continued their unbeaten pre-season with four wins from four games.

The friendly coupled as a testimonial for Glentoran skipper Paul Leeman who has served the Irish League club for 11 years and literally lives just round the corner from the Oval ground.

Ironically the man of the moment conceded a late penalty for Town to secure the win.

The Blues started sluggishly but showed moments of the neat passing football they are capable of.

This was also Glentoran's third game in five days after drawing with Hearts in a friendly on Monday and being held by Latvian side SK Liepajas Metalurgs in the UEFA Cup

The Glens went ahead on ten minutes when Daryl Fordyce, who had a spell, a Portsmouth, met Jason Hill's cross with a powerful header directed past Shane Supple The Blues had early been served a warning when former Blackburn Rovers striker Gary Hamilton hit a post with a 20-yard free kick.

Alan Lee equalised for Town seven minutes later when he nodded in a Jon Walters' cross.

Counago appealed for a penalty when moments later he was denied a goal as keeper Eliott Morris tipped away his low, left-footed shot on the turn.

Alan Quinn hit over the bar after more good work from Walters, while Garvan tried his luck for 20-yards but the keeper was behind the effort.

Supple made a save for the cameras to cleanly catch at full-stretch, substitute BJ McMenamin's 25-yard effort.

The Glens made a lot of changes at half time and Town took advantage and dominated possession.

Eight minutes after the break substitute keeper James Taylor made a good save from Lee but Tommy Miller's corner was glanced in by Counago.

Taylor also pushed away a Pim Balkestein effort as the Dutchman cut in from the left to hit a powerful 30-yarder.

But Roberts wrapped up the scoring when he netted from the penalty spot after Jordan Rhodes was brought down by Leeman.
