Town deny bid for striker

IPSWICH Town today denied that they had received a bid from fellow Coca-Cola Championship club Crystal Palace for striker Alan Lee.

It was reported in the national press that Palace had made a bid for Lee, who came on as a second-half substitute for Pablo Counago in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Preston North End.
