IPSWICH Town are poised to hand out a special VAT Christmas bonus to their fans.
Proposals on how to pass on the 2.5% reduction in VAT from Monday are still being discussed by the Blues board at the moment. And the plan is to give every Town fan a seasonal gift.
If the club reduce turnstile admission prices similar to Premier League Everton it would penalise the club's most loyal fans - the season ticket holders.
So a special promotion is being discussed that would benefit everyone, and an announcement is expected soon.
Manchester United's 57,000 season ticket holders are to benefit. The Reds have been cleared to hand back the appropriate percentage of each season ticket on the basis of only six of their 19 Premier League home games took place before the December 1 deadline.
