IPSWICH Town manager Roy Keane has turned down a bid for one of his players.
“I had an offer yesterday for one of my players and we turned it down,” said Keane. “The offer was no where near what we believe the player is worth.”
Keane would not confirm the identity of the player in question, but did confirm hat it was not midfielder Owen Garvan after there was speculation that Burnley had made a 1m bid.
When asked if Garvan was going to the Premier League club, Keane said: “No, not that I'm aware, but sometimes managers are the last to know. I've had no phone call from Burnley, their manager has not been in contact with me.”
