IPSWICH Town were beaten 2-1 by Luton Town in Tuesday’s Combination fixture at Playford Road.

Colin Healy netted direct from a free-kick before Ronan Murray had a penalty saved after Tom Eastman was fouled. Healy sent the rebound over the bar.

Alex Lawless (46) and Jason Walker (68) scored after the interval to win the game for the visitors.

Town had Tottenham trialist Callum Butcher in their line-up along with Damien Delaney, but Connor Wickham, Mark Kennedy and Luke Hyam did not feature.

The game was originally down to be played at Barton Rovers’ Sharpenhoe Road before being moved to the Blues’ training ground.
