IPSWICH Town’s teenage midfielder Jamie Griffiths has agreed to join League Two side Plymouth on a one-month loan.
The 19-year-old, who signed a six month contract at Portman Road in the summer, will join up with the Pilgrims tomorrow and looks set to go into their squad for the weekend game against Burton.
He links up with former Town midfielder Conor Hourihane who signed for the Devon club on free transfer at the end of last month.
Having progressed through the Ipswich academy, Griffiths made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Carling Cup win against Northampton last season but was then sidelined for much of the campaign with a bad back injury.
“I’m looking forward to going to Plymouth,” said the teenager. “It’s a chance to play some first-team football and that’s what I need.”
