DUNDEE United boss Craig Levein has warned Ipswich to forget about landing star midfielder Morgaro Gomis for 800,000.

Roy Keane is reportedly interested in signing Gomis, with an offer of around that size having been mooted.

But Levein insists he has yet to receive any bids for the Frenchman and hinted he would want something nearer the 1.8million Hamilton received from Wigan for James McCarthy.

"First of all, there has to be a bid from someone before we can respond to it," Levein said in the Evening Telegraph.

"You are talking about a player who, right at this moment, I consider to be our best midfielder in terms of consistency and level of performance.
