BLUES midfielder Liam Trotter has gone out on loan to Grimsby Town.

The Mariners sacked manager Alan Buckley after failing to win a league two game so far this season and caretaker boss Stuart Watkiss has moved to secure Trotter.

Trotter started in four of Town's opening six games, scoring in the win at Burnley, but was not included in the past two matches and was told he could go out to gain more experience.

The 20-year-old completed the initial one-month move today and could make his debut against Morecambe on Saturday.
