Ipswich Town are yet to make a bid for Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson, contrary to reports elsewhere, we understand.
The 31-year-old striker scored 16 goals in 48 games for Blues during his first season in the Midlands, having signed on a free transfer from Brentford last summer.
Donaldson, who has spent most of his career in the lower leagues and in Scotland, plays a similar role to that of Ipswich frontman Daryl Murphy, who has been linked with a £4m-plus move away from Portman Road this summer.
Reading are also thought to be chasing the striker, according to www.getreading.co.uk reporter Charles Watts.
It is thought Birmingham would want around £2m for the former Hibernian frontman.
