IPSWICH Town Under-18 coach Richard Hall today stressed that his team can play better than they did in last night's FA Youth Cup win over Shrewsbury.
“The lads were on edge and perhaps it was the occasion,” he said.
“They had been looking forward to the game and have been playing extremely well in their Academy games on Saturdays.
“They must learn from this and be able to play at their best on a bigger stage and when there is more focus on them.
“It was a disappointing performance and I have seen much better quality from them.

“But give Shrewsbury credit. They closed us down, but we were not at our best and were not helped in a scrappy game by an early injury to skipper and leader Luke Hyam. And Lewis Ward also took a knock and could not kick properly.
“But we are through to the next round and just about deserved it.”
The draw for the fourth round has yet to be made.
