ROY Keane refused to blame referee Andy D’Urso for his side’s 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Swansea this afternoon.

Town players believed that they should have had a penalty, for Mark Gower’s tugging back of Carlos Edwards inside the box, when the score was at 2-1, but Keane was making no excuses after the game.

“The official did not lose us this game,” insisted a downbeat Keane.

“I’m not going to try and find excuses for us losing this match. We conceded two soft goals, and the second one was comical.

“It’s a very hard defeat to take, and we can have no excuses.

“We have no one to blame but ourselves,” confessed Keane.

Andros Townsend had headed Town into the lead early in the second half, but a brace from Craig Beattie and one from Joe Allen condemned Town to their eighth defeat from their last 10 league games.
