CONNOR Wickham bagged a first half brace as Ipswich Town comfortably beat hosts Histon 6-0 in their second pre-season friendly tonight.
Town were 4-0 up at the break, with 17-year-old Wickham impressing with his deadly finishing. David Norris scored the opener and Gareth McAuley also hit the target with a header.
It was all change at half-time, and Town’s second-half team never reached such great heights, despite late goals from Lee Martin and Jon Stead.
Luciano Civelli again enjoyed another 30 minutes of action, on his comeback from a 16-month lay-off due to a knee injury.
