IPSWICH Town striker Connor Wickham has been named in England Under-21s provisional squad of 40 for this summer’s European Under-21 Championships, to be staged in Denmark.
Manager Stuart Pearce will trim this squad down to 23 by June 1, in the build up to the tournament, which features initial games against Spain (June 12), Ukraine (June 15) and Czech Republic (June 19).
Wickham, who missed Town’s last home game against Preston due to a rib injury, has been capped three times by the Under-21s.
