ROY Keane has revealed, during his lunchtime press conference, that Connor Wickham has recovered from his ankle injury and will be available for tomorrow’s home game against Millwall.

Star striker Wickham twisted his ankle during training last Sunday, which caused him to miss Tuesday night’s win over Northampton in the Carling Cup. But he could return tomorrow.

Mark Kennedy is also back in the frame after recovering from his recent hamstring injury.

“Both Connor and Sparky (Kennedy) are available for tomorrow,” revealed Keane.

“They have both recovered well, but we have to weigh up whether it would be a gamble to get them involved this weekend, because we have a clear week ahead next week.

“I always knew that Connor’s injury was not a serious one. But we couldn’t afford to take a chance with him on Tuesday.”
