DAVID Wright is hopeful of being fit enough to return to the Ipswich side for their visit to Burnley on Tuesday night.
Wright missed the 3-1 loss at Hull City on Saturday due to an infected blister on a heel but Blues boss Jim Magilton is optimistic the right back will play.
Magilton said: “We will train at Barnsley today and see how David is. He is much improved and should be okay to play.”
Magilton praised stand-in defender Chris Casement who made his first start of the season on Saturday.
He said: “Chris did admirably at Hull. If there were any positives t be take out of the game then he was it.”
