Morten Risager is set for a couple of weeks on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot, during the Witches’ opening night loss to Scunthorpe.
The Dane suffered the injury during heat nine of the 48-41 defeat, after Lewis Kerr crashed out in front of him, and while he was able to win two more races after the incident, he later confirmed he had broken a metatarsal in his right foot.
Risager tweeted: “Broke my 2nd metatarsal on my right foot tonight. Likely to be out for a few weeks, but will get some treatment on it and see how it goes.”
He will be covered by rider replacement for the Witches return trip to Scunthorpe on Sunday.
