Colchester United boss Tony Humes was delighted with his side’s 3-0 win at bottom club Crewe Alexandra this afternoon.

Three second-half goals by Freddie Sears, Rhys Healey and Sanchez Watt, in the 57th, 63rd and 67th minutes respectively, ensured a second win of the campaign for the U’s.

Manager Humes explained: “It’s a fantastic result for us.

“I thought both clubs showed a few nerves, but as the game went on, we started to play better.

“Goals change games, and we got three in a very short space of time.
