Today’s on this day begins with Town’s 2-0 win over Norwich City at Portman Road in 1975, thanks to goals from Kevin Beattie and Bryan Hamilton.
Alan Lee scored twice as the Blues beat Sunderland 3-1 at Portman Road to give Roy Keane his first defeat as manager in 2006, with his side going down to 10 men.
18 years ago today, Town drew 1-1 with Arsenal at Portman Road with Marcus Stewart scoring the Blues goal.
Also on this day in 1997, Matt Holland scored twice as the Blues won 3-0 at Torquay United in the League Cup 2nd round, 2nd leg.
