COLCHESTER United scored a huge win at Layer Road tonight, destroying struggling Hull 5-1 - and striker Chris Iwelumo enjoyed a spectacular night as he bagged four of the goals.
COLCHESTER United scored a huge win at Layer Road tonight, destroying struggling Hull 5-1 - and striker Chris Iwelumo enjoyed a spectacular night as he bagged four of the goals.
The visitors struck first, with former Ipswich striker Nicky Forster netting after 16 minutes, but Hull were then buried under an avalanche of U's goals.
Iwelumo started the fight back after 19 minutes and then converted a penalty to give Colchester the lead early in the second half.
Jamie Cureton struck to extend the lead, before Iwelumo put the result beyond doubt with two more goals to send U's fans home happy.
